About Jacob’s Closet and Emerald Mission

Jacob’s Closet & Emerald Mission focuses on providing basic needs including clothing, food, hygiene supplies to patients leaving the hospital setting or leaving a homeless shelter. Many times, these patients don’t have the basic needs or supplies. At this time, we are focusing 80% of donated resources to providing the basic needs according to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. The other 20% is dedicated to books, games, entertainment and learning supplies.

Emerald Mission

History Of Jacob’s Closet

After Jacob’s passing his family kept their promise to him to provide books and activities for the patients. They soon realized there was an even larger need for clothes, shoes, coats, and more for the patients when they were discharged. In May of 2019, Jacob’s family and friends made their first donations to the hospital.

Jacob’s Closet and Emerald Mission was started to honor his legacy and continue his work of making the world a better place, even if it’s just one coat at a time.
